Launched in 2009, BiblevsLies.com was created as an outreach ministry by Truth Baptist Church Pastor Logan J. Fowler while he served as a member at Pioneer Baptist Church. The idea then and now is to wield the power of the internet to earnestly contend for the faith (Jude 1:3), point out doctrinal deviants (Romans 16:17), and spread the gospel (Mark 16:15).
The BiblevsLies.com Facebook page was established in 2012 and has been used to share truths, many of them unpopular, from God's word with thousands of people. It was built upon the Biblical premise that wolves in sheep's clothing exist in our world today (Matt. 7:15).
Today as a ministry of Truth Baptist Church, BiblevsLies.com will continue to be used as a vehicle to provide straight forward answers to everyday questions: what is right, what is wrong, and what the Bible actually says. What you will not find here is a call for donations, a watered-down gospel, and feel-good philosophies. We use and promote speech that is Biblically correct, not necessarily politically correct.
Those who are truly seeking the truth and truly born again will find BiblevsLies refreshing. Those who have a home in this world, are brainwashed, or simply despise the light will probably find the website offensive.
We invite you to seek the truth, share the truth, and stand strong on the Bible wherever you are as is it the only thing that will last. We also welcome you to email us with any questions or comments at email@example.com, to join us for conversation on social media, and, of course, stop by Truth Baptist Church for a visit if you're ever in the area.
BiblevsLies.com is composed of two main sections: overviews of common cults and belief systems and our literature page where free tracts are available for print and distribution. Our writings are intended to offer straightforward information and Bible verses that can be understood by everyone and misunderstood by no one. Thus, you will not find long explanations full of big words and complex ideas. The word of God is very straight forward and we try to be as well. God is not the author of confusion (I Cor. 14:33) so we try not to be either. We'll leave the twisting of the scriptures to those who want to impose their beliefs on the Bible, instead of the other way around.
If you read something you like, please feel free to share the page on social media and help spread the light in a very dark world. And be sure to check back often as new topics and writings will be added in the days to come.
